There won't be any new MoriDogs for a week or so. Some of you already know that Luna is actually my daughter's dog. I took temporary custody last year when she went to Tokyo for a three-year work assignment. She was there during the earthquake and tsunami. Luna's real mom is safe, if shaken up, and voluntarily flew to Hawaii for a while, where we have friends. I went to meet her on very short notice. Although it is truly Paradise here, internet connection is not what we expect in California. Luckily for both of my many readers, I have some miscellaneous MoriPhotos saved on the blog for just such an occasion. Here are a few recent ones that I have handy.
Luna and her cats are being well cared for at home, although you may not be seeing her on the trail for a while.
Mori Cats
I watched these two cats for a long time. It does look like they are hunting, but neither one caught anything that I saw.
It was clear what this cat was watching. There is a bird at the top of the white post. But the Black Phoebe had a moat around it's perch, and was safe.
MoriHawk
Sometimes I think that the hawks are watching the cats who are watching the birds and gophers.
